A full-length carbon fibre plate stores and returns energy for increased propulsion when you jump and sprint, while a high-support polyurethane layer and contoured arch keep you stable and absorb shock heel-to-toe. It's stiffer than foam on purpose, that stiffness is the spring.

Break-in guide
Give them 3–5 sessions. Carbon fibre is stiffer than the foam you're used to, that stiffness is the spring. Most athletes feel "springy but firm" on day one and fully dialled-in within a week. Helped my son's injuries
My 16 year old son plays club basketball and was constantly coming home with sore knees. We even went to the physio who recommended expensive orthotics.
